About this app

Puntokus, by Angela Vazquez Dominguez, is a logic puzzle with a single rule: each number says how many dots go in its row or column, and every dot must touch exactly one other dot, its partner. There is no guessing, only deduction, and every puzzle is certified to have one solution reachable by logic alone.

Toku, a pixel-art guide, teaches one technique at a time with small guided exercises before a path of 14 levels and 1,498 puzzles, from 3×3 to 10×10. Hints are free and unlimited and explain where to look and why, and any puzzle can be skipped after two tries. A new Daily puzzle arrives every day, the same in the app and on the web; solving 20 in a month earns that month's stamp, and streaks count weeks rather than days, so one missed day never breaks them.

Fourteen themes change the look of the whole game, each with its own companion and light and dark modes, including seasonal ones. The game is built to be accessible, with VoiceOver on every screen including the board, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion and boards that never rely on colour alone.

Puntokus is free with no ads, no energy system and no account. The full path and the Daily are free; extra themes are optional purchases.

How it uses iPhone Duo

According to the release notes for version 1.0.3 (October 24, 2026) and the App Store description, Puntokus is optimized for iPhone Duo in each position. Opened like a book, it spreads across both pages, with the Daily on one side and Toku on the other and nothing placed on the fold. Folded like a laptop, it plays like a handheld console: the board on the upper half and the controls on the lower half. Unfolded all the way, every screen rearranges for the large display. DuoDiscover has not yet tested Puntokus on a device.
