About this app
Foldplay is a collection of thirteen quick local games designed around iPhone Duo's hinge. Most are head-to-head contests for two people sharing one phone: air hockey with the fold as the center line, tennis with the hinge as the net, a reflex test where the first tap after GO! wins, a tapping tug of war, and a drawing game that mirrors your strokes across the fold. Basketball, The Band, Catapult and Cascade are meant to be played with the phone bent like a laptop. Karts adds 3D racing across eight tracks with a half of the screen for each driver, and there are also Dance, Red Light Green Light and a Hide & Seek in the dark where each player sees only their own side. Single-player play is against the computer, with Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty and levels that ramp up as you win. Air hockey and tennis can also be played online through Game Center, which holds leaderboards for wins, records and daily streaks, plus a new Daily Challenge each day. On other iPhones you can share the screen or play the computer, and iPad supports two players. Foldplay is free; an Extra games purchase unlocks the remaining Karts tracks, the Grand Prix, Dance, Red Light and Hide & Seek, and buyers of Remove ads already have them.

How it uses iPhone Duo
According to the developer's App Store description, Foldplay is built for iPhone Duo with the hinge as part of the game. Closed, you play against the computer; open, each half of the screen belongs to one player, and closing the phone mid-game switches you to playing the CPU. In hockey the fold is the center line and in tennis it is the net. Basketball, The Band, Catapult and Cascade are played with the phone folded like a laptop across both halves, and in Hide & Seek each player only sees their own half. DuoDiscover has not yet tested Foldplay on a device.
