Yelp

Yelp is a directory and review app for local businesses: restaurants, cafes, salons, contractors, doctors, movers and more. Yelp says it hosts over 300 million reviews worldwide. You can search near you and filter results by neighborhood, distance, rating, price and opening hours, then call a business, get its address or book directly in the app. Many restaurants also take reservations and delivery or pickup orders through Yelp. For home projects, the app lets you request quotes from contractors and book appointments with service providers. Yelp is free and also runs on iPad and Apple Watch. It is useful whenever you are choosing between several nearby places and want to read reviews before you go. Yelp is one of the apps Apple named in its October 22, 2026 iPhone Duo announcement. Apple says that on the unfolded phone, the map and the reviews sit side by side. That lets you compare businesses without switching back and forth between a list and a map. Apple's description covers the larger inner display only, and Yelp's release notes do not mention iPhone Duo.
