Lume
Recipe manager with meal planning, grocery lists and a step-by-step Cook Mode
Lume is adapted for iPhone Duo (rebuilt with the iOS 27 SDK or later to fill the inner display) as of .
About this app
Lume, by Joao Franco, is a recipe manager built around cooking from one calm place. Recipes can be imported from websites and links, then organised with folders, tags and favourites. A weekly planner shows what is coming up and lets you move meals around, and adding a recipe gathers its ingredients into a grocery list sorted by aisle.
In the kitchen, Cook Mode walks through a recipe step by step, keeps your place, shows ingredients when you need them and starts timers. An optional Hands-Free Cooking mode uses the TrueDepth camera to move between steps with a facial gesture when your hands are messy; the developer says it runs only on the device and saves no face data. Servings can be scaled and units converted, with every quantity updating at once, and recipes sync through iCloud and can be followed on Apple Watch.
Lume is free to start with room for 10 recipes. The optional Lume Pro purchase adds unlimited recipes, a shared household for recipes, plans and groceries, recipe scanning from the camera, files or photos, smart folders and a discovery feed of food blogs.
On iPhone Duo, version 1.0.1 (October 21, 2026) optimised the app for the device's displays.
