Procreate Pocket

Procreate Pocket is the iPhone edition of Procreate, the drawing and painting app from Australian studio Savage Interactive. It is a separate purchase from the iPad version and runs only on iPhone, aimed at illustrators, sketchers and animators who want a capable raster art tool they can carry everywhere. It sells as a one-time paid app on the App Store rather than a subscription.

Version 5.0, released on October 19, 2026, is a large update. It adds more than 150 new brushes to the Procreate Library, brush search, and brush libraries for grouping sets by project or style. Strokes can be smoothed by combining stabilisation with motion filtering, either across the whole app or per brush. Page Assist lets you work page by page on storyboards, comics or sketchbooks, and you can import PDFs to mark them up. Brush Studio settings are now fully compatible with the iPad app, with new controls such as alpha threshold for pixel art. The update also brings colour history, recent and pinned brushes, saved brush sizes, VoiceOver support and brush file management in the Files app.

On iPhone Duo, Savage Interactive staff have said in the official Procreate community forum that Procreate Pocket will support the device and will add Apple Pencil USB-C support once that compatibility is released. The company has not yet published fold-specific features, and the version 5.0 release notes do not mention iPhone Duo by name.

In September 2026, a Savage Interactive staff member wrote on the official Procreate community forum that Procreate Pocket will support iPhone Duo, along with Apple Pencil USB-C once that compatibility is released. In a separate thread, staff said the team would start optimising Pocket for the device once they had hardware, and that they were exploring other ideas. Nothing has been announced about how the app will use the 7.6-inch inner display, the outer display, Split View or a half-open posture. The version 5.0 release notes (October 19, 2026) mention new hardware compatibility but do not name iPhone Duo. DuoDiscover has not yet tested Procreate Pocket on an iPhone Duo.
