Lyft

Lyft is a ride-hailing app for booking cars and other ways to get around in the cities it serves. You enter a destination and see the route and the ride cost before you book. Ride types include Wait & Save for lower fares, Priority Pickup for faster pickups, Lyft XL for larger groups and Lyft Lux, with bikes, scooters, transit directions and rentals available in some markets. Which options appear depends on the region. The app is free to download, and you pay per ride, with prices that vary with demand. It is meant for everyday trips like commutes, errands, nights out and rides to the airport. Lyft is among the apps Apple named in its October 22, 2026 iPhone Duo announcement. Apple says that on the unfolded phone, riders get more room to compare ride options while a larger route map stays on screen, so the map and the list of choices sit side by side instead of competing for space. Apple's description covers the larger inner display only. It does not mention a half-open or outer-display mode for Lyft, and Lyft's own release notes do not mention iPhone Duo.

In its October 22, 2026 iPhone Duo announcement, Apple says Lyft gives riders more room to compare ride options and see the route at the same time, alongside a larger route map. Apple describes no outer-display or half-open behaviour for Lyft, and Lyft's current release notes do not mention iPhone Duo. DuoDiscover has not yet tested Lyft on a device.
