American Airlines

American Airlines is the official app of American Airlines, Inc. for booking and managing trips. Travelers can book flights along with hotel, car, cruise and vacation partners, check in and keep a mobile boarding pass that updates along the way, and use interactive terminal maps to get around the airport, including finding the nearest Admirals Club lounge. A personalized home screen shows the next trip, AAdvantage status, miles and Loyalty Points, and recent releases redesigned access to AAdvantage status benefits and grouped bags and Mileage Multiplier into one place for adding trip extras. Live Activities track a flight on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and in the Apple Watch Smart Stack, and Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets show upcoming trip details. American added iPhone Duo support in version 2026.31, released October 20, 2026, and Apple included the app in its October 22, 2026 roundup of travel apps updated for the device. The app is free.
