Xmind

Xmind is a long-running mind mapping and brainstorming app from Xmind Ltd., available across phones, tablets and computers. It is built for people who plan projects, prepare presentations, study or organize research by laying ideas out visually. Maps can use several structures, including classic mind maps, logic charts, org charts, timelines, fishbone diagrams and matrices, and topics can hold images, audio notes, LaTeX equations, labels and links. An Outliner view presents the same content as a hierarchical list, and Pitch Mode turns a map into a slideshow. Recent versions add AI tools that can generate a map from text, links, documents or photos of notes, and expand a selected topic into new branches. The app is free to download with in-app purchases. An update released on October 20, 2026 adds iPhone Duo support. The developer says that in Foldable mode the Outliner and the Mind Map can be shown side by side, so you can read the ideas in order while keeping their connections visible. The same update adds multi-window support on iPhone Duo and a reorganized toolbar for the device.

Xmind's October 20, 2026 release notes describe a Foldable mode on iPhone Duo that shows the Outliner and the Mind Map side by side, presenting the same content from two angles. The update also brings multi-window support on iPhone Duo, so you can keep reference documents open next to a map, and regroups the toolbar controls for the device. DuoDiscover has not yet tested it on an iPhone Duo.
