Flighty

Flighty is a flight tracking app for travellers who want to know what is happening with their flights before the airline tells them. It follows your trips automatically through calendar sync, TripIt sync or forwarded confirmation emails, and sends alerts about delays, cancellations, gate changes and taxi times. It can show where the inbound aircraft is coming from, explain the reason behind a delay, and offer delay and gate predictions. Data comes from aviation sources including the FAA and Eurocontrol, and the app shows details such as flight plans, tail numbers and ground radar while taxiing. Flighty Friends lets you share flights privately with family and friends, and Flighty Passport builds a personal map of the flights you have taken. Recent updates added a countdown and in-flight progress arc in the Dynamic Island and Siri questions about your flight status and gate. Flighty offers a free trial and paid features through in-app purchases. Version 4.11.2, released on October 21, 2026, added iPhone Duo support with a hands-free tent mode for following a flight in progress.

Features

• Delay, cancellation and gate change alerts
• Inbound aircraft tracking and delay reasons
• Delay and gate predictions
• Calendar, TripIt and email forwarding sync
• Flighty Friends private flight sharing
• Tent mode on iPhone Duo for hands-free in-flight progress

Flighty's release notes for version 4.11.2 say the app is ready for iPhone Duo, and that during a flight you can prop the phone up like a tent to follow your progress hands-free. That makes use of the Duo's ability to stand on its own when partly folded. The notes do not describe other Duo-specific layouts. DuoDiscover has not yet tested it on a device.
