Ask Watch AI

Ask Watch AI, from mobilComm Ltd, is a voice-first AI assistant that runs on Apple Watch, iPhone, Mac and in CarPlay. It does not lock you into one model: you bring your own API keys for providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Perplexity, xAI, Groq and DeepSeek, or connect your own OpenAI-compatible server such as Ollama.

There are three ways to talk to it: a hands-free voice chat that keeps listening, a dictation mode where you read the answer, and push-to-talk. Live Conversation adds real-time voice with OpenAI, Google and xAI models. Answers can be read aloud with a choice of voices, and web search can enrich answers with sources from supported providers. A private notes feature lets the assistant search and save notes, and a Compare view sends the same question to several providers side by side.

It also works as a Home Assistant remote, with voice control for lights, climate and scenes and a live dashboard, and it can open Apple Maps for directions when you allow location access. Watch complications, widgets, Siri Shortcuts and the Action Button give quick access.

The app is free to download, with in-app purchases; with your own keys you pay providers directly for what you use.

According to the release notes for version 2.2.44 (October 18, 2026), Chat, Home, Notes, Settings, Compare and Live Conversation "use two columns on the open screen" of iPhone Duo, so the 7.6-inch inner display shows more at once. The developer does not describe a specific outer-display or half-open layout. DuoDiscover has not yet tested Ask Watch AI on a device.
