Walk Up Songs
Game-day walk-up music for softball and baseball, laid out for every Duo pose
Walk Up Songs is built for iPhone Duo (it uses the fold, Split View or the outer display) as of .
About this app
Walk Up Songs is a walk-up music manager for softball, baseball and other team sports, made by independent developer Peter Zanetti. It is aimed at the coach, parent or scorekeeper who ends up running the music at games. Each player gets a large one-tap card showing their name, number and song. When you tap a card, the song plays from a saved cue point, fades out, and the app moves on to the next batter. You can manage several teams, each with its own roster and lineup. Songs can come from Apple Music or be imported as MP3 files, and each player can have several songs saved with their own cue points. The batting order can be changed by drag and drop. The app can also play a team introduction, pairing an announcer intro with a walk-out song as the team takes the field. A recent Ambient tab update added playlists. The developer says the app was used at more than 50 competitive travel softball games over a year before its public release. The app is free, with a Walk Up Songs Pro in-app purchase. Version 1.7.0 adds iPhone Duo layouts for the outer display, the inner display and the half-folded poses.

How it uses iPhone Duo
The developer's release notes for version 1.7.0 (October 16, 2026) say the app fills both displays edge to edge. On the inner display, the Walk Up screen shows the player cards next to the full lineup, with the current batter highlighted in the team colour. On the outer display, the app works much as it does on iPhone, but the tabs move to the side of the screen. In the Ambient tab, with the Duo open like a book, the floating player moves away from the fold so its play button never sits on the crease. The developer says this support was built on Apple's iPhone Duo simulator. DuoDiscover has not yet tested it on a device.
