Netflix is the mobile app for the Netflix subscription streaming service. Members can browse and watch series, films, documentaries and stand-up specials, and the app also gives access to Netflix's mobile games. Like the service itself, it is for anyone with a Netflix account. Content and features depend on the plan and on the region. The app supports multiple profiles, downloading titles to watch offline, and a vertical Clips feed of short highlights that Netflix added in its 2026 iPhone redesign to help members decide what to watch next.

On iPhone Duo, Netflix has more Apple backing than most apps. Apple named it alongside Zoom and Slack in its September 9, 2026 announcement as one of the third-party apps already taking advantage of the folding design. Press coverage of a Netflix spokesperson's comments to Variety describes an iOS 27 version of the app built for the device. In it, Billboard, the playback controls and Clips are reworked for the two displays. Clips can be browsed on the 5.4-inch outer display, then playback continues on the 7.6-inch inner display when the phone is opened. These details come from Apple and from published reporting. DuoDiscover has not yet tested the app on an iPhone Duo.

Its caption says the app uses the versatility of iPhone Duo to make finding shows more engaging. According to reporting on a Netflix spokesperson's statement to Variety, the iOS 27 version of the app reimagines Billboard, the playback controls and Clips for the device. Members can scroll the Clips feed on the outer display and continue on the inner display when they unfold the phone. The playback controls stay within reach whether the Duo is fully open, folded or propped up. When propped up, the controls move to the lower half while video plays on the upper half. DuoDiscover has not yet tested this on a device.
